I saw an ant crawling on my table just now. I was about to squash it when I notice it was carry a tiny piece of sugar, remanence from breakfast this morning. So good heartedly, I attempted to transport it outside using my ruler. But instead, I cause the little hardworking ant to drop it’s piece of sugar and scurry away. It’s back now with a new piece and I guess it’s heading back to it’s nest. I hope his colony has a good snack.

This also reminds me that i got to wipe my table before he and his comrades come back for more!

To cook or not to cook

I’ve been cooking all my life. I started cooking my first meal of instant noodles when I was 10. Then I cook dinners of simple cha bee hoon or fried rice during my secondary school life when my mother had to work late. I cooked my own meals all throughout my uni life in Australia. I like cooking and it’s a natural thing to do when I need to fill my stomach.

Strangely enough, women like me are considered special in today’s society. I work, I’m ultra fashionable, I definitely enjoy the finer things in life and I like to cook. I didn’t see what’s so special about “my kind” until I realised that there are many women out there who are like me, who work, who are ultra fashionalble, who enjoy the finer things in life but don’t like cooking.

Men consider “my kind” a bonus for a wife or girlfriend but women who choose not to cook see us as being “too domesticated” for today’s world. I get comments like “oh, you becoming quite the good housewife aren’t you?”. Seriously, by passing these comments, are they feeling threaten or inferior or are they simply mocking us for our culinary know how that is an age old natural thing to do?

Since when did cooking become out and not choosing to cook become the new “in thing” for the modern woman of today?

They come and go…

Friends are plenty.
They come and go.
Some are fly by night.
Some don’t really care.
Some are too caught up in themselves.
Most are weird.
The world revolves only around them.
Better late than never.
Takes 15 years for friendship to show thier true colours.

Good friends are few.
Treasure those you have.

Life is still REALLY GOOD! Love it!

FOMC next week so the market is flat, as flat can be.
Nothing to trade, not even one.
How to be millionaire like that?
In the meantime, I sit here and swat flies first.
